1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Qty ("the App", "the Service", "we", "us", or "our"). Qty is an inventory management application developed and operated by:

By creating an account or using any part of Qty, you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When material changes are made, you will be required to review and re-accept the updated Terms before continuing to use Qty. The version number at the top of this document indicates the current revision.

2. Description of Service

Qty is an iOS inventory management application that allows individuals and teams to:

  • Create and manage inventory items (track quantities, descriptions, movements, and history);
  • Organize items by categories and storage locations;
  • Collaborate within shared spaces — workspaces where team members collectively manage inventory;
  • Invite other users to join a space using invite codes;
  • Access premium features through paid subscription plans (Plus and Pro).

The Service is intended for personal, professional, and small-business inventory management purposes.

3. Account Registration and Authentication

3.1 Sign-In Methods

Qty uses third-party identity providers for authentication. You may sign in using:

  • Sign in with Apple — governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy;
  • Sign in with Google — governed by Google's terms and privacy policy.

We do not store your Apple or Google passwords. Authentication is handled entirely by the respective identity provider via Firebase Authentication (Google LLC).

3.2 Account Creation

Upon your first sign-in, Qty automatically creates a user profile in our database containing:

  • Your email address;
  • Your display name;
  • Your profile photo URL (if provided by the identity provider).

You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to keep your sign-in credentials secure and to notify us immediately at dima.dragos0@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Age Requirement

Qty is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

4. Spaces and Collaboration

4.1 Spaces

A space is a shared workspace for inventory management. You may:

  • Create a new space (you become its owner and admin);
  • Join an existing space via an invite code shared by the space owner.

4.2 Member Roles

  • Owner — full administrative control, including the ability to delete the space;
  • Admin — can manage members, categories, locations, and items;
  • Member — can read and write inventory data within the space.

4.3 Shared Data

When you join a space, your display name and profile photo URL become visible to all other members of that space. Inventory data you create within a space (items, categories, locations) is accessible to all members of that space.

4.4 Space Deletion

When an owner deletes a space, all inventory data within it is soft-deleted. Members who have no remaining spaces are redirected to create or join a new space. You acknowledge that deleting a space permanently removes that workspace's data and affects all members.

5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

5.1 Plans

Qty offers the following subscription plans in addition to a free tier:

  • Free — limited to 1 space, up to 100 items per space, and up to 2 members per space;
  • Plus (✨) — up to 5 spaces, up to 1,000 items per space, up to 10 members per space, unlimited locations and categories, low-stock alerts, 30-day activity log, and CSV export;
  • Pro (🚀) — unlimited spaces, unlimited items and members, full activity log history, item image attachments, low-stock push notifications, PDF reports, and priority support.

5.2 Purchase and Billing

All paid subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store and processed by Apple Inc. Billing, payment processing, and receipts are handled exclusively by Apple. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's payment terms.

Subscriptions are auto-renewing. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.

Your Apple ID account will be charged upon purchase confirmation and at the start of each renewal period.

5.3 Trial Periods

Where offered, a free trial period is available before billing begins. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, the subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and your Apple ID will be charged.

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings (Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on iOS). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to premium features until then.

We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. All refund requests must be directed to Apple Inc. through Apple's standard refund process.

5.5 Restore Purchases

You may restore previously purchased subscriptions from within the App using the "Restore Purchases" function on the paywall screen.

5.6 Price Changes

Subscription prices are subject to change. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply from the start of your next renewal period.

5.7 Grandfathered Users

Users who created an account before the introduction of paid plans may receive grandfathered access to premium features for a limited period as determined solely by us. Grandfathered status is non-transferable and may be modified or removed at our discretion.

5.8 Subscription Management (RevenueCat)

Subscription status is managed via RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management platform. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to data processed through their service: revenuecat.com/privacy.

6. Data Collection and Privacy

6.1 Data We Collect

By using Qty, you agree that we may collect and store the following data:

Account & Authentication Data:

  • Email address (from your Google or Apple account);
  • Display name;
  • Profile photo URL (if available);
  • Firebase-generated user identifier (UID).

App-Generated Content:

  • Space data (space names, invite codes, member lists stored as UIDs);
  • Inventory items (names, descriptions, quantities, movement history);
  • Categories (names, color preferences);
  • Locations (names, color preferences);
  • Terms acceptance records (version number and timestamp).

Technical Data (automatically collected by Firebase):

  • IP address (used for security and abuse prevention);
  • Device type and operating system version;
  • App session information.

6.2 Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

  • GPS or precise device location data;
  • Device contacts, photos, or media;
  • Microphone, camera, or biometric data;
  • Your Apple or Google account passwords;
  • Payment card or financial information;
  • Browsing history from other apps.

6.3 How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to:

  • Operate and provide the App's services;
  • Enable collaboration features within spaces;
  • Enforce subscription plan limits;
  • Improve the App and fix bugs;
  • Ensure security and prevent abuse.

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it for any purpose unrelated to operating Qty.

6.4 Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, which provides encryption at rest and in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to space data is restricted by Firestore Security Rules: only authenticated members of a space can read or write that space's data.

Data may be stored on Google Cloud infrastructure servers located in the United States and other countries.

6.5 Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy governs how we collect, use, and protect your personal data and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

6.6 Your Data Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at dima.dragos0@gmail.com.

To request account deletion, email dima.dragos0@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include your registered email address. We will process the request within 14 days.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Qty only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or spaces;
  • Use the App to store, transmit, or distribute illegal, harmful, or offensive content;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App;
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App;
  • Impersonate any person or entity;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App — including but not limited to software, design, trademarks, logos, and content created by us — are owned by or licensed to Dima Dragos Ionut Persoana Fizica Autorizata. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights in the App.

You retain ownership of the content you create within Qty (your inventory data, categories, and locations). By storing content in the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Third-Party Services

Qty integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms and privacy policies:

We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties. Your use of their services is subject to their respective terms.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

10.1 "As Is" Basis

Qty is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure;
  • Defects will be corrected;
  • The App or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or harmful components.

10.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dima Dragos Ionut Persoana Fizica Autorizata shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption — arising from your use of or inability to use Qty, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).

10.3 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dima Dragos Ionut Persoana Fizica Autorizata from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may stop using Qty at any time. To delete your account and data, contact us at dima.dragos0@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request".

11.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Qty at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Active paid subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your Apple ID Account Settings; we are not responsible for processing refunds through Apple.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Qty shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Romania.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, the version number at the top of this document will be incremented. If the changes are material, you will be prompted within the App to review and accept the updated Terms before continuing to use Qty.

Continuing to use the App after accepting the updated Terms constitutes your agreement to be bound by the new version.
